The 2024 Porsche Taycan could introduce a new tri-motor variant with over 1,000 hp

Porsche is preparing the all-electric Taycan for a facelift and was recently spotted conducting winter tests for the Sedan, Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo models.
On first impressions, one might be excused that these prototypes look identical to any Taycan you might see in a Porsche showroom. However, if you look a little closer, you’ll notice that all of these prototypes have revised headlights that appear a touch larger than those of the previous model and are also more neatly integrated into the front quarter panels and hood.

Elsewhere, Porsche’s engineers have fitted all three of these prototypes with temporary front bumpers, which lack the black air curtains under the headlights on the outgoing model. While it’s possible these air curtains may still be seen in the 2024 Taycan, their shape will likely be changed.
The visible changes to these prototypes are rounded off by optimized LED taillights and, in the case of the sedan, by a new rear bumper.
It’s not yet known if Porsche has made any changes to the facelifted Taycan’s interior, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see some minor changes. This could include some small updates to the dashboard design, as well as software updates for the numerous interactive screens found throughout.
Few mechanical modifications are expected, not that the Taycan needs any changes in that department. For example, the entry-level Taycan has 402 hp, while the flagship Taycan Turbo S has up to 750 hp.
An exciting new addition to the revamped Taycan range could be a new flagship model with up to 1,000 horsepower. Porsche is reportedly developing this new variant to compete with the Tesla Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Sapphire, and will likely outfit it with a new three-motor powertrain.
