Genshin Impact Withering Zones – How To Clear And Stop Decay
Sumeru will include mechanics that travelers can use to combat Decay when in Withering Zones. How to delete and prevent it from occurring.

According to a blog post, these damaged zones will not be a fixed location but will appear randomly throughout the rainforest. When travelers find themselves in the middle of a Withering Zone, there are a few things they can do to combat its effects.
How to clear and stop decay in Genshin Impact?
Unlucky travelers who encounter a Withering Zone will begin to accumulate the Decay status effect. This will reduce the total Elemental Resistance (RES), Physical RES, and Max HP for all party members, as continued exposure could cause them to be knocked down.
To overcome decay, some places can significantly reduce its effect, namely Candles of Life and Flames of Life. These exploration mechanics contain the power of Dendrogana, which clears Withering Zones and can be activated or destroyed to solve puzzles.
Travelers can activate Dendrogana while carrying it using either a charged attack or an aimed shot that can be used to destroy Withering Boughs. Once the branches within a Withering Zone have been cleared, the heart of the zone known as the “Tumor of the Withering” will be summoned, causing enemies to spawn.
Eliminate all spawned enemies before destroying the heart for the area to remove all corrupted powers. Travelers can also use a specific POI called the Seed Mirror, which can be used much like a telescope to locate Spawning Withering Zones and stop their spread.
This mechanic will be featured once the Sumeru region launches with Genshin Impact update 3.0, The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings. The release date is August 24, 2022 for PlayStation consoles, mobile and PC via the Epic Games Store.
