NFL preseason schedule Week 3: TV coverage, channels, scores for every football game today
The third and final week of the NFL preseason is here, which means fans are one step closer to the regular season. Before we get too far ahead, there are a number of stories worth keeping an eye on in Week 3.
Week 3 action kicks off Thursday with two games, including a meetup between the 49ers and Texans, which will air on Amazon Prime and give fans a chance to get acquainted with the streaming platform’s revamped presentation for the upcoming season make.
On Friday, the newly minted Panthers starting quarterback Baker Mayfield will see a quarter of the action against the Bills, who have decided to rest Josh Allen along with other key starters. Saturday, the busiest day of week three of the preseason, features eight games, three of which will be broadcast live on the NFL Network.
The preseason action concludes Sunday when the Lions travel to Pittsburgh to take on a Steelers team that has yet to name a starting quarterback, though Mitch Trubisky will start in front of a national television audience. Rookie Kenny Pickett will be building up after his strong start to preseason to make the decision even tougher for coach Mike Tomlin.

How to watch NFL preseason games on TV
Several preseason games per week will be televised on NBC, CBS, Fox and ESPN, while other select games will air on NFL Network. Amazon Prime, which owns the broadcast rights to “Thursday Night Football,” will air the Week 3 matchup between the 49ers and the Texans.
Only fans in local markets can watch matches that are not televised nationally. For those who want to watch national games on the NFL Network, NFL+ – the NFL’s dedicated streaming site – will air programs from the network. NFL+ gives streamers access to all out-of-print preseason games for either $4.99 per month or $29.99 for an annual subscription.
Nationally televised matches can also be streamed on fuboTV, which offers a free trial. Fans in Canada can stream preseason games via DAZN.
