When fishing in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must first grab your line before heading to your fishing spot.
Luckily, you can get it pretty early in the game. Below is a complete overview of how to get your own fishing rod.
How to get a fishing rod
In order to get the Fishing Rod in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to complete the Fishing Expedition quest.
This is one of the earliest quests in the game, and it gives you the fishing pole and a short fishing tutorial. Follow the tutorial quest line to get this quest.
How to fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you acquire the fishing rod, you can go to a body of water and fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
- Go to a pond or other body of water.
- Look for bubbles on the water surface.
- Equip the fishing rod and throw it into the bubbles, being careful to aim correctly.
- Immediately pull the fish out of the water when you see the prompt to pull. Waiting too long can result in losing the fish, so act quickly.
Catching fish isn’t difficult in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but it does require attention and timing.
