Before The Storm — How To Win The Tabletop Game
One of the most memorable sections of the prequel too life is strange Life is Strange: Before the StormShe lets beloved Chloe Price attend one dungeons-style tabletop game alongside classmates Steph Gingrinch and Mikey North. Although this tabletop portion of the game only lasts twenty minutes, it was well received by many players Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
However, the tabletop games section is by no means a walk in the park to successfully complete. Even if player do Success in defeating the mighty Duurgaron, Chloe’s character (who can be named either Chloe, Barb, or Callamastia) will still end up dying regardless of whether the player was able to successfully defeat Duurgaron The Unscarred.
Step 1: Go to the prison camp
When players enter the tabletop game Life is Strange: Before the Storm, they have the choice to choose between three different areas: the Prison Camp, the Training Grounds and the Warlord’s Tent. First, players should go to the Prison Camp as they would get straight to the warlord’s tent into an immediate battle with Duurgaron The Unscarred.
In the prison camp there will be a dragonkin who will hand over the keys to the prison cells. Frightened by the presence of Elamon and Chloe’s characters, he locks himself in one of the empty cells. Ultimately, Chloe must complete a backtalk challenge to get the keys from the Dragonkin.
This backtalk challenge is relatively easy because regardless of whether the player completes it successfully, the player gets the keys at the end. However, in order to successfully complete it, players must first select the “Meat Doll” dialogue option, followed by the “Could make her bigger or smaller” dialogue option.
Step two: Go to the training ground
After the prison camp section is completed, players should go to the training ground. Going here will cause Mikey’s character Elamon to unleash a massive acid wave attack, taking out the majority of the enemies the two should have been fighting. It doesn’t need a heavily armored orc, however, which the two must defeat now before moving on.
Players should first use a Pommel Strike, followed by a Knee Slam, and finish off the Sergeant Orc with a Fatal Cleave.
Step Three: The Warlord’s Tent
Finally, Chloe’s character and Elamon make their way to the warlord’s tent to face off against Duurgaron The Unscarred. This section of the table game is definitely the easiest to slip, so players need to be careful and similar to a real game dungeons Game, consider their actions and their consequences.
When facing off against Duurgaron, players should first attack the mighty Minotaur with Wrathful Rush, followed by Brutal Punch and finally Annihilation Strike.
Step Four: Dance
Regardless of whether players execute their attacks on Duurgaron in the correct order, disaster will ensue when a series of bad dice rolls result in Chloe’s character slicing off Elamon’s legs. Duurgaron will attempt to finish off Mikey’s character, but players can save him from an untimely death by dancing to distract Duurgaron.
Curiously, the dancing distracts the Minotaur long enough for Elamon to squirm away and shift the focus of the powerful final boss to Chloe’s character.
Final step: swing for the arm
Many of the previous choices and outcomes can be done slightly differently and still achieve a successful outcome. However, this final 50-50 selection will decide whether the players win the table game challenge.
In her dying breath, Chloe’s character is given the choice of either cutting off Duurgaron’s head or arm. Players must choose to swing at his arm and cut off his bracelet of fire immunity, allowing Elamon to cast a spell that ultimately defeats Duurgaron The Unscarred.
