And while Shin Megami Tensei can never reach the same popularity as Pokemonit has created an enduring legacy that many game developers today seek to emulate. temtem is a creature collecting game with many similarities to Shin Megami Tensei and Pokemon while still introducing fans to new gimmicks. One aspect of that Pokemon Fans will recognize dojos that resemble gyms. But, dojos in temtem have a unique gameplay twist that some players may not be aware of, particularly the seventh dojo in temtemthe Lochburg Dojo.

Lochburg Dojo Battle Mechanics

Unlike other dojos, the Lochburg Dojo does not have a specific puzzle to solve (like the Quetzal Dojo), instead players must defeat multiple tamers in a row. But these battles are “Gauntlet” style, meaning players must beat them all in a row before they can heal or revive their Temtem, or even reach Dojo Master. If a player drops out of any of the fights, the fights will reset, forcing them to fight again.

Therefore, players should bring enough battle items to heal/revive their Temtem team before starting the battles. Certain gears will help players defeat all tamers with ease. For example, Full Restore and Balm+++ help players fully heal their Temtem during a fight.

Dojo Tamer & Dojo Master

The highest level Temtem player that players will face will be a level 75 Golzy, which is part of Murdag’s (Dojo Master) lineup. So as long as the player’s Temtem team is above level 70, they should be able to easily complete these battles. Players must defeat four tamers before proceeding to Murdag, but once they defeat all four tamers they are free to heal their team without having to reset the fight.

Seismunch LVL 55 Melee & Earth Digital & Water
Tortenite LVL 56 Crystal & Toxic Melee & Wind
Nagaise LVL 58 Spirit & Water electric

Players must fight Carlos first before moving on to the next tamer. By this point, players should be familiar with his lineup, but for the most part, players will want to use a strong melee Temtem. Seismunch, Maoala, and Koish (melee) are all worthy Temtem for this fight.

Seismunch LVL 63 Melee & Earth Digital & Water
Gyali’s LVL 64 Crystal & Melee Earth
Magmoth LVL 68 Melee & Fire Digital & Water
Nessla LVL 65 water & electricity Nature

The second Tamer fight consists mainly of water and melee Temtem. The top tier Temtem this tamer has is Magmut, a tanky Temtem with high HP and defense. But the real dangers are Gyalis and Nessla, as they both have powerful Technique attacks. Players should ensure their team has at least one Earth-type Temtem to counter these Temtem like Vulffy or Seismunch.

Murphy’s Temtem stats and battle tactics

temtem Type Weakness
Gazuma LVL 60 electricity & wind Nature
Gorong LVL 61 melee Digital & mental
Saipat LVL 62 Water & Melee electric

Murphy is the third Tamer player to struggle to advance at Lochburg Dojo. He only has a team of three Temtem, so beating him shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The biggest threat on his team is Gazuma, as it increases the speed of allied Temtem. As such, players should focus their attacks on Gazuma first before fighting any of the other Temtem.

Ryan’s Temtem stats and battle tactics

temtem Type Weakness
Mushook LVL 58 Toxic & Melee wind
Golzy LVL 59 Electric & Melee Digital & Earth

Players should be careful when facing the final tamer as Golzy is one of the best Electric & Melee Temtem. And that’s because of its secondary trait, Voltaic Charge, which reflects 10% of a tech attack. As such, players should avoid attacking Golzy with powerful single target attacks and instead use basic attacks to defeat him.

Murdag’s Temtem stats and battle tactics

temtem Type Weakness
Maoala LVL 64 Melee & Mental Digital & mental
Skunk LVL 64 Neutral & Melee mentally
Magmoth LVL 64 Melee & Fire Spirit & Water
Monkko LVL 70 Digital & Melee mentally
Grumpy LVL 67 Earth & Electrics water & earth
Golzy LVL 75 Electric & Melee Digital & Earth

Once players have defeated the four tamers, they can face Murdag, the master of the dojo. But before confronting her, players should heal/revive their team as she has a full set of six Temtem. Additionally, players can loot 2x Max Scent and 1x Fat Burner before reaching Murdag.

During battle, players should watch out for Monkko as he has a strong secondary trait that increases his Special Move Attack by 10%. Additionally, Skunch’s secondary trait, Bully, increases his damage output by 30% while outnumbered. So, the best way to deal with these Temtems is to focus on them completely, as ignoring them can disrupt the flow of the battle.

temtem is available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
