Rob Gronkowski’s Super Bowl field goal kick: Inside FanDuel’s live ‘Kick of Destiny’ commercial
Rob Gronkowski is arguably the greatest tight end in NFL history. But can those skills lead to kicking the ball?
That’s the question FanDuel is trying to answer with its first ever Super Bowl commercial, which will star the future Hall of Famer as he tries to score a field goal live on national television.
Gronkowski is quite a personality; not many players have captivated national audiences like he has. Gronk has soaked his way from confetti to Nickelodeon slime in the years since his retirement.

Still, this might be his toughest post-retirement challenge. Pedaling is not for the faint of heart. Are you doing this with the weight of the world upon you? Even worse.
Gronk has honed in the gym and on the practice field, and attended training sessions alongside another future gold jacket recipient – former teammate Adam Vinatieri.
“I have to hit it,” Gronkowski said. “It’s for America, man. $10 million in free bets for America. I’ll be disappointed in myself if I don’t make it.”

That could well be profitable. But it probably won’t. The American Gaming Association predicts that one in five American adults will place a bet on Sunday’s game. That’s a lot of cheddar.
Who is the FanDuel Super Bowl Commercial Actress?
Gronk isn’t the only star in FanDuel’s latest promo. In fact, the company hired the services of ’90s icon Karen Malina White to play the tight end’s agent.
White is a household name to those involved in black film and television in the 1980s and ’90s. The Howard University graduate starred opposite Morgan Freeman in Lean on Me (1989). She also played key roles in the famous black sitcoms The Cosby Show, A Different World, Malcolm, and Eddie and The Proud Family.
