Kihei Clark added 16 points for the Cavaliers. Duke looked poised to win when Kyle Filipowski drove in regulation’s final game and two defenders challenged his shot. The officials initially whistled for a foul, but waved it off after a long examination. The ACC later announced that the officials misapplied the rule and Filipowski should have been awarded two free throws. Jeremy Roach led the Blue Devils with 16 points.
