From recent indoor and macro portfolio announcements, to fixed wireless access and a live digital twin of a 6G network, Ericsson’s demos provide a glimpse of the company’s innovative technologies that will impact the telecoms industry.
MWC Barcelona is the world’s largest mobile industry event and Ericsson’s presence is eagerly awaited by industry experts and professionals.
One of the key demos Ericsson will be showcasing is the highly anticipated Ericsson Radio System hardware wall and tower. The exhibition includes the latest products from the Radio Access Network (RAN) and Transport portfolio, from outdoor to indoor, with the opportunity to compare the next generation of single and multi-band radios with basic products.
Displays for monetizing 5G are located in the middle of the exhibition area. Some exciting demos here include the Fixed Wireless Access opportunity, showcasing the latest market developments and technology breakthroughs in Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs), millimeter wave, self-installable applications and more. The themed area also highlights Time-Critical Communications with a range of partners, where visitors can discover use cases such as remote driving and extended reality through live demos.
Not to be missed is the demo of some standalone 5G networks splitting early deployments, with examples of a premium Formula 1 experience with Singtel, 5G smart patrol cars with Far EasTone and fast site setup with Telstra.
Ericsson’s vision for future networks is also a focus at the MWC. The company will showcase its energy-efficient solutions and provide a glimpse into an exciting future of 6G-related technologies being explored in its labs. These exhibits include zero energy sensors, live digital twinning of a 6G network and examining the capabilities of a potential new 6G spectrum.
Speaking of the demos, David Hammarwall, Ericsson’s Head of Product Area Networks, said: “We are very excited to unveil our latest solutions that can help service providers accelerate their network evolution, monetize their 5G investments and prepare for the future . We believe our cutting-edge technologies can enable a more connected and sustainable world, and we look forward to showing their potential at MWC.”
