Why aren’t Liverpool vs Wolves on TV in the UK?
Liverpool’s Premier League home game against Wolves is on a list of top games not included for TV broadcast or streaming in the UK in 2023.
The reason for the lack of television coverage for UK-based fans is that the game was originally scheduled for September before being postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
As a result, two weekends of Premier League games were changed following a decision to sit out games as a mark of respect, and subsequent games were also changed due to police shortages due to a state funeral for the former British monarch.
With the game originally scheduled for a Saturday 15:00 kick-off, the re-arranged match will be governed by UK broadcast ban rules, but Liverpool’s much-anticipated clash with Manchester United on Sunday 5 March will be broadcast worldwide.
