Latest Tesla Cybertruck display reveals sleek new styling and other additions
The latest version of the Tesla Cybertruck has been on display at the Texas Gigafactory, showcasing an updated, sleek design and some updates inside and out.
This time it was spotted by Rob Maurer from the Tesla Daily Podcast youtube. Maurer toured the Cybertruck on display at Tesla’s Giga Texas as part of Investor Day 2023 on March 1.
In the new video, the Cybertruck looks a lot more finished than that previous sightings of the steel exoskeleton vehicle. The truck had red LED lights on the underside that showed off the company’s branding.
It also had a dark glass roof, which was also recent spotted during a drone flyover along with triangular mirrors. As already mentioned by the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, these could be removed.
The steering wheel also appears to be a combination of the standard round steering wheel and the controversial yoke steering wheel found in the new Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles. These have yet to be delivered to the Australian coast but a round steering wheel is now also available for these vehicles.
The interior screen appears to be larger than that in the Model 3 and Model Y, and will likely be 17 inches.
The air suspension on the truck is raised with large off-road tires. This suspension system would be one of the most advanced systems on the market, having learned from Tesla for years from the Model S and Model X platform vehicles.
These vehicles in the refreshed form are now able to self-adjust the height based on the road surface conditions. All fleet data is used to determine these upcoming conditions to automatically adjust suspension height to provide a better driving experience.
The loading area in the rear also looks very industrial, which was also the design intention.
Finally, the large windshield in this prototype features a single wiper blade, previously seen on the road in Cybertrucks prototype tests.
It’s exciting to see everything coming together as Tesla prepares to start production of the Cybertruck and wipe out over a million reservations, hundreds of which are expected in Australia.
