Bentley, JLL and Gunnercooke: The 12 latest North West hires and promotions
It’s been another busy week with top hires and promotions announced from companies across the Northwest.
Companies like luxury carmaker Bentley and real estate company JLL have made big strides.
Below we round up the latest hires and promotions that we think you shouldn’t miss.

Bentley
Bentley Motors has announced the appointment of Stefanie Lackner as the new Head of Sustainability Communications.
Joining from Audi AG, she will work closely with the Bentley board, leadership team and regional networks to shape communications on environmental, economic and social sustainability and help build understanding of the value of diversity and inclusion across the company to improve .
She replaces Jo O’Brien, who left the company last year to pursue other opportunities.
She said: “The Bentley story began over 100 years ago with brave pioneers pushing the boundaries to set the pace on the racetrack.
“Now the brand is once again setting the pace in the transition to sustainable luxury mobility, powered by the pioneering Beyond100 strategy, the boldest plan in the luxury automotive sector.
“For me, it is not only one of the most exciting, but also the most important role I have undertaken to date, which is to help define Bentley’s journey towards a more sustainable, diverse and inclusive future for generations to come.”
Synapse360
Manchester-based Synapse360 has announced Steve Lamb as its new UK Sales Director.
He will be responsible for delivering the next level of revenue growth for the company.
Managing Director Steve Douglas said: “Having worked with Steve Lamb since 2011, I am delighted with this appointment which I know will support Synapse360’s growth in the years to come.
“Steve’s extensive industry experience, ability to embrace new things and tenacious determinism are an ideal combination as we expand our ambitions into the City of London and the public sector.”
Cheshire Business School
Cheshire Business School has hired a sales and marketing manager.
Victoria Case has worked in various marketing roles across a variety of industries including FMCC, financial services and education.
She will be responsible for strengthening engagement with current members and growing the membership base.
She said: “I look forward to joining Cheshire Business School at such a pivotal stage in its development.”
Gunnercooke
Chris Williams was hired by Gunnercooke as a partner in Manchester.
Mr. Williams specializes in M&A and private equity transactions and is a member of the international law firm Kennedys.
He said: “I am delighted to join gunnercooke’s team of experienced partners and to work alongside leading legal experts.
“I look forward to working within the creative fee-sharing model that allows me to focus on being more personal in the way I work with clients.”

Manchester-based legal prospecting specialist Blume has appointed Brionie Cook-Scowen as its new Business Development Manager.
Previously she led the business development function at e-medicals UK Limited where she also held the position of Medco Responsible Officer. Before that she was at Mobile Doctors.
She said: “Blume has a focused and clear strategy for the future with a great offer that I can’t wait to share with my customers.
“A large part of what attracted me to this position was the scale of Blume’s ambition, the drive for innovation and growth, and the passion of his people. I look forward to becoming part of the team and doing my part to move the company forward.”
JBH
Manchester Digital PR and SEO agency JBH has appointed Andy Holland as Director of SEO.
He said: “I feel very fortunate and excited to join the JBH team to lead their SEO service. After meeting the founders, I knew that the agency would be a perfect fit for me.
“I’ve long been a admirer of the campaigns and results the JBH team delivers and have previously spoken at their Missing Link industry event. I can’t wait to get started and help with the next chapter of this exciting journey.”
JLL
JLL has appointed Kath Cope to its Manchester office project management team.
In her new role, she will be responsible for working on a variety of project types including new build developments and tenant fit-outs.
She comes from Colliers, where she previously provided a number of high-profile assignments, including working with two global technology development firms and overseeing their office equipment. Previously, she also worked at Siemens.
Inspired
Inspired, a technology-enabled service provider that helps companies in their pursuit of net zero, controlling energy costs and responding to climate change, has announced a series of board changes.
The Lancashire company has hired Peter Tracey as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Mr. Tracey is a Managing Director of Blackdown Partners, an independent investment bank.
Sangita Shah has been appointed Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, replacing Sarah Flannigan as Chair of the ESG Committee.
Dianne Walker replaces Sarah Flannigan on the Compensation Committee and remains Chair of the Audit and Risk Committees.
Pannone Corporate
Northwestern law firm Pannone Corporate has announced the promotion of two longtime members of the team to partners.
Jonny Scholes has been promoted to partner in the firm’s dispute resolution team.
He is supported as a partner by Daniel Clarke, who heads the corporate recovery and insolvency practice.
Senior Partner Paul Jonson said: “Each promotion and appointment represents Pannone’s commitment to investing in our people and the future of our company.
