Liverpool transfer news LIVE – Mohamed Salah future, Ryan Gravenberch latest, Jude Bellingham fee
Welcome to the Liverpool FC Saturday LIVE blog. There’s no Reds game this weekend or next, but don’t worry we’ll still bring you the latest news from Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Newcastle United stole a march from the Reds last night by beating Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the City Ground. The result put the Magpies five points ahead of sixth-placed Liverpool after playing the same number of games.
Darwin Nunez has been ruled out of Uruguay’s international friendlies against Japan and South Korea after injuring his foot. Hopefully that will heal by the time the Reds take on Manchester City on April 1 because the last thing they need are more injury woes.
On the frontline of transfer rumours, it is claimed Liverpool are in “extended talks” with Bayern Munich over midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, 20. A price has reportedly been set for rumored Reds target Piotr Zielinski at Serie A nominees Napoli and at least three Premier League clubs are said to be chasing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain when his contract at Anfield expires in June.

Mohamed Salah agent opens up on Liverpool exit rumors
Mohamed Salah’s agent has spilled rumors suggesting the striker wants to leave Liverpool.
Salah is under contract with the Reds until the summer of 2025 after being penned on new terms last summer. That deal ended speculation about the Egyptian’s future with rumors he could have left Anfield.
A report by Foot Mercato on Saturday claimed Salah was “increasingly” considering a move from Liverpool. It was also hinted that Salah would favor a transfer to Spain but didn’t specify which club.
The story was posted on Twitter by author Santi Aouna, which prompted a response from Salah’s representative. Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah’s agent, issued a brief response to the report.

Liverpool dealt injury damage to Darwin Nunez as Uruguay’s decision was upheld
Darwin Nunez has been left out of Uruguay’s squad for the upcoming friendlies due to injury, it has been confirmed.
The Liverpool forward took part in the Reds’ Champions League defeat by Real Madrid earlier this week but was replaced in the second half of the game, much to the frustration of many fans.
When asked after the game whether this move was due to injury, Jürgen Klopp replied: “Darwin looked like he wasn’t at the absolute top level either and we also had to defend this team. We could change and wanted to mix things up a bit.”
The Uruguayan Football Federation has now claimed Nunez is unavailable for the forthcoming friendlies against Japan and South Korea after apparently suffering a setback.
“Darwin Núñez will not participate due to injury and instead the Uruguayan team’s interim technical director Marcelo Broli will be named Jonathan Rodríguez,” confirmed an official statement.
