We’ve just picked up the cutest holiday clothes, and you’ll never guess where they’re all from. Give up? DICK’S sporting goods! Yes, we were quite surprised too. It turns out that DICK’S has a lot more than just basketballs, sneakers and camping gear. They sell favorites from Ray-Ban, HOKA, Stanley, Nike and more.

There’s a reason these sandals are such a classic. For trips where you do a lot of hiking and outdoor activities, Tevas are the obvious choice. They’ve always been super comfortable and durable (who hasn’t had those iconic Teva tan lines on their feet after a summer at sleepaway camp?), and they’ve also become surprisingly trendy in recent years. This season we’re craving the multicolored version with retro ’90s tones.
A secure little zip pocket is an absolute must for any type of vacation and this version of DSG fits in perfectly. It comes in 10 different neutral and fun colors and has a simple and versatile silhouette that goes with almost any outfit. Wear it around your waist or adjust the strap to use it as a crossbody bag. The bag fits everything you need plus a little more (phone, wallet, sunglasses, keys, lip balm, that Biscoff cookie you didn’t eat on the plane) – ideal for a day trip to explore a new city or to hike through trails and water.
We’re talking summer vacation here, so obviously swimsuits will be involved. Our strategy: Pack a few individual tops and bottoms that you can mix and match for a range of different looks. The first item to hit our shopping cart is this classic triangle bikini top from Roxy. It offers enough coverage that you don’t have to constantly worry about flashing the rest of the beach, but you can still get that covetable, sun-kissed look. The solid color goes just as well with matching bottoms like these as it does with a fun pattern or print.
One of the best aspects of the holiday is the incredibly low standard of dress. Airy trousers and dresses that would look like pyjamas, in most situations, suddenly become perfectly appropriate evening wear. We love Calia’s lightweight bottoms, which work just as well as a beach cover-up as for a day on the town. The high elastic waistband and drawcord make them super forgiving – just what we need on vacation. They come in this airy tie-dye pattern and a few other colors and prints.
This is true! DICK’S sells Ray-Ban! We told you they have great stuff. This cool pair gives Ray-Ban’s classic aviator frame a cat-eye vibe that sounds a bit odd, but somehow looks just right. We’re also in the process of switching from metal frames, which is how aviator frames are usually made, to acetate. Now comes the tricky part: choose between a black frame with gray lenses or a tortoise frame with brown gradient lenses. Realistically, we get both.
When spending time in the sun, a good hat is an absolute must. We really like this one from Saturday Afternoon, which is made from 100% natural Tripilla straw. It has a sun rating of UPF 50+, which means it basically offers double UV protection. The leather strap keeps it from flying away in the wind and getting lost (yes, we’re speaking from personal experience), and the adjustable inner strap makes it great for most sizes.
