MARTAC Unveils its Latest Drone Boat: the Devil Ray T24
On 05/24/2023, Maritime Tactical Systems, Inc. (MARTAC), an innovator in maritime autonomous surface vessels (ASVs), is proud to introduce its highly anticipated Devil Ray T24 (7m) ASV from our Devil Ray production facility.
MARTAC press release
The base configuration Devil Ray T24 (T24) is designed as a high performance ASV capable of burst speeds of up to 50 knots, open sea cruising ranges of up to 600 nautical miles and a payload capacity of up to 1,800 pounds. The T24 was conceptually designed and developed to enable operators to perform missions using multiple advanced sensors above and below the surface via both line of sight and satellite data links. The use of advanced automation and collision avoidance (CAS) systems in the T24 provides the required level of confidence to conduct missions with significantly less human intervention or oversight. In addition to its inherent autonomy, the T24 is built on an agile technology stack that is interoperable and interchangeable (I2I) and allows for easy adoption of new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Staying true to the company’s vision to design and develop ASVs capable of operating beyond human capabilities, the Devil Ray T24’s rugged, high-speed 10G hull and large deck area provide flexibility for multi-domain system integration, unmatched by any other unmanned platform. The ability to easily integrate multiple payloads and communication packages complements the T24’s cross-domain capabilities. The T24 is the only ASV with native marsupial hosting capabilities with platforms such as the MANTAS T-Series (T8/T12) ASVs, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). The T24 is MARTAC’s commitment to providing its customers with the best in robust, reliable COTS (Commercial-Off-the-Shelf) technology with an interoperable architecture that enables seamless integration of government and commercial system architectures.
“We are excited to introduce our Devil Ray T24 with its ability to transform the way ASVs are deployed to improve operations and manned systems. This is our first Devil Ray ASV designed from the ground up for the specific needs of multi-role missions. Capable of operating autonomously at high speeds, we will continue to develop our technology to meet the needs of our military, scientific and commercial customers’ missions and applications. MARTAC’s Devil Ray ASV Series truly works “beyond human capability”.
