The Montgomery County Food Bank encourages both shooters and non-shooters to attend the event. The tournament includes an awards ceremony, team photos, and breakfast and lunch for participants. Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available. However, as this popular event sells out quickly, early booking is highly recommended.

Event Details:
• Registration and breakfast open from 7:30 am
• Welcome and safety briefing begins at 8:45am
• The Sporting clay court tournament starts at 9:00 am
• The awards ceremony and lunch will begin around 12:00

For the sixth year in a row, Cowboy Kia is the presenting sponsor of Shootout Hunger. Montgomery County Food Bank’s generous community partners and sponsors, like Cowboy Kia, raise much-needed funds for Montgomery County residents in need. This year’s event is also made possible by members of the Shootout Hunger Committee, George Waggoner, President of First National Bank Texas and Board Member of Montgomery County Food Bank, Rick Botello of Enterprise Holdings, Cheri Huber of Greater East Montgomery County Chamber, Heath Konesheck of B&L Pipeco Services, and Dan Roberts of B&L Pipeco Services.

“As the cost of food and other essential necessities continues to rise, our need for donations and assistance remains high as we work to end hunger countywide,” said Kristine Marlow, president and CEO of the Montgomery County Food Bank. “Events like Shootout Hunger help us unite the community, raise awareness and raise much-needed funds for our many neighbors affected by food insecurity.”

For companies committed to ESG (environmental, social and governance) issues, Food Bank support addresses both environmental and social issues. Not only is the Food Bank fighting to end food insecurity, but it is also tackling food waste, which accounts for 6.7% of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
