Windows 11 handwriting experience improved with latest Insider build

- The builds update the handwriting experience on Windows 11 by improving the engine and other underlying components.
- More meaningful builds of Windows 11 were delivered to the Canary Channel and Beta Channel this week.
Right after the Windows 11 builds for the Canary Channel and the Beta Channel, Microsoft released updates for the Release Preview Channel this week.
There are two builds that just got shipped to the Release Preview Channel. Build 22621.2066 is for Insiders running Windows 11 version 22H2. Build 22000.2243 is for those using the original Windows 11 release.
The updates contain few new features but contain some fixes.
Build 22621.2066: Improvements
- New! This update affects the Handwriting Software Input Panel (SIP), the Handwriting Engine and the Handwriting Embedded Inking Control. They now support GB18030-2022 compliance level 2. Because of this, they meet level 3 requirements.
- This update fixes an issue in the Windows Notification Platform. The problem affects how much power your device consumes.
- This update affects the Windows Push Notification Services (WNS). This makes the connection between the client and the WNS server more reliable.
- This update fixes an issue affecting hybrid connected devices. You cannot log into them if they are not connected to the internet. This occurs when using a Windows Hello for Business PIN or biometric credentials. This issue affects a cloud trust deployment.
- This update affects Windows Autopilot profiles. The Windows Autopilot policy download process is more robust. This is useful when a network connection may not be fully initialized. This update increases the number of retries when trying to download the Windows Autopilot profile.
- This update fixes an issue affecting event forwarding subscriptions. If you add an event channel to the subscription, unneeded events are forwarded.
- This update resolves an issue affecting the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) repository. This will result in an installation error. The problem occurs when a device is improperly shut down.
- This update fixes an issue affecting certain CPUs. There are inconsistent reports on the L2 cache.
- This update makes the brightness settings more accurate.
- This update improves the hints for some letters of the Verdana Pro font family.
- This update affects user-mode printer drivers. They discharge unexpectedly. This occurs when you print from multiple print queues to the same printer driver.
