Air Force vs. Wyoming live stream online, channel, prediction, how to watch on CBS Sports Network

Week 3 of the 2022 college football season is highlighted by another loaded action plan on CBS Sports Network that will feature four games over the next two days as the regular season continues to heat up. First up is a showdown in Mountain West between the Air Force and Wyoming on Friday, followed by three games on Saturday that will see three out-of-conference matchups from across the country.

In Saturday’s first game, Army meets Villanova as the Black Knights try to recover from two close defeats while taking on an FCS opponent who started 2-0. In the afternoon, Northern Illinois hosts Vanderbilt as the Commodores look to start 3-1 and surpass their overall wins from the 2021 season.

The nightcap is a Sunshine State Battle between UCF and FAU. The Owls are trying to start 3-1 while the Knights try to recover from a 20-14 loss to Louisville last Friday. UCF are 3-0 all-time in the series, but FAU have been solid offensively so far this season.

Here’s the full rundown of all the Week 3 action on CBS Sports Network. All times Easter.

Air Force against Wyoming

Date: Friday 16 Sept | Time: 8 p.m
Location: War Memorial Stadium – Laramie, Wyoming
TV: CBS sports network [Channel finder]
Live broadcast: CBSSports.com | Cell phone, mobile phone: CBS Sports App
Spread: Luftwaffe -15 | Will the Falcons cover? Check out the Week 3 predictions from SportsLine

Storylines: The Air Force is flying high in this contest after beating Pac-12 foe Colorado 41-10 in the state last week. The Falcons held the buffs to just 162 total yards while forcing three turnovers. Wyoming is on a two-game winning streak after losing to Illinois in Week 0, and the Cowboys should be motivated to end a two-game losing streak against their annual MWC foe.

Villanova vs Army

Date: Saturday 17 Sept | Time: 12 o’clock
Location: Michie Stadium – West Point, New York
TV: CBS sports network [Channel finder]
Live broadcast: CBSSports.com | Cell phone, mobile phone: CBS Sports App

Storylines: After back-to-back nine-win seasons, Army started 2-0 for the first time since 2015. The Black Knights followed up a 38-28 opening loss to Coastal Carolina with a 41-38 heartbreaker in overtime, according to the UTSA last week. If there’s a silver lining to the UTSA defeat, it’s that the Black Knights gave the rest of their opponents something to think about; Quarterback Cade Ballard’s 222-yard pass was the most by an Army quarterback in a game since 2007.

Vanderbilt vs Northern Illinois

Date: Saturday 17 Sept | Time: 3:30 p.m
Location: Huskie Stadium – DeKalb, Illinois
TV: CBS sports network [Channel finder]
Live broadcast: CBSSports.com | Cell phone, mobile phone: CBS Sports App
Spread: Northern Illinois -2.5 | Will the huskies cover? Check out the Week 3 predictions from SportsLine

Storylines: After this week, Vanderbilt’s next three games are at No. 2 Alabama, against No. 20 Ole Miss and at No. 1 Georgia. If the Commodores want to build on last season’s 2-10 mark in coach Clark Lea’s second season, that’s a big point. The Commodores looked better after a 2-1 start, but their wins came against Hawaii and Elon. Northern Illinois looks to be a tough test after putting Tulsa on the wire in a 38-35 loss last week. The Huskies also scared Vanderbilt in 2019 before the Commodores walked away with a 24-18 win.

UCF vs FAU

Date: Saturday 17 Sept | Time: 19:30 o’clock
Location: FAU Stadium – Boca Raton, Florida
TV: CBS sports network [Channel finder]
Live broadcast: CBSSports.com | Cell phone, mobile phone: CBS Sports App
Spread: UCF-9 | Will the Knights cover? Check out SportsLine’s weekly forecasts

Storylines: UCF were ruled out in the second half of a dramatic 20-14 loss to Louisville last week, with Ole Miss transfer John Rhys Plumlee managing the show as quarterback. His mobility seems to fit well into second-year coach Gus Malzahn’s system, but the Knights struggled in the passing game. In contrast, FAU was electrified through the air as veteran quarterback N’Kosi Perry has already thrown for nine touchdowns and 879 yards in three games.
