OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which launched last November, has garnered a lot of attention around the world. The chatbot is a comprehensive voice tool that generates responses to various requests. Now, OpenAI has launched GPT-4, the AI technology that shows human-level performance in some professional and academic tasks.

According to the company blog, the latest chatbot is “more creative and collaborative than ever” and would “solve difficult problems with greater accuracy” than its previous versions.
The latest version will be more accurate and — in the future — take a huge leap forward for the technology from both image and text inputs, although that aspect hasn’t been released yet, AFP reported.
OpenAI worked with a partner company, Be My Eyes, to prepare the next advance.
The latest chatbot has huge amounts of information generated from the Internet and can provide a detailed answer to users’ queries. It can produce text that resembles human speech. It is an upgrade of the existing ChatGPT – based on GPT 3.5 technology.
Much of the new model’s firepower is now available to the general public via ChatGPT Plus, OpenAI’s paid subscription plan, and via an AI-powered version of Microsoft search engine Bing, which is currently in testing, AFP reported.
The company claimed that the latest version of ChatGPT is far less likely to go haywire than its previous chatbot, as there have been frequent reports of interactions with ChatGPT or Bing’s chatbot where users are presented with lies, insults, or other so-called “hallucinations”.

“We spent six months making GPT-4 more secure and more tuned. GPT-4 is 82 percent less likely to respond to requests for objectionable content and 40 percent more likely to provide factual responses,” OpenAI said.
Founder Sam Altman admitted that despite the anticipation, GPT-4 is “still buggy, still limited, and still seems more impressive on first use than after spending more time with it.”
