Arsenal vs. Leicester City live score, updates, highlights & lineups from Premier League

Is Arsenal 2022/23 real? The Gunners will look to further answer that question with their first Premier League home game of the season. The Emirates crowd will rock if the Gunners look to start with a perfect record after two days of play.

As well as being favorites to beat Leicester at home, Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of signing one of Leicester City’s best players in midfielder Youri Tielemans. The Belgian will continue to play for the Foxes against the team reportedly trying to secure his services, making for a compelling subplot.

Leicester will need all the help they can get against an Arsenal side who have carried their pre-season form into the new season, clinching a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in the season’s opening game. Gabriel Martinelli scored the opening goal and sealed the result with an own goal. Arsenal’s big new signing Gabriel Jesus kept a goalless debut in an official match and will be keen to get on the board in front of his new home fans.

A dose of Bukayo Saka, Jesus and Martinelli isn’t the easiest way for the Foxes to get over their disappointing season-opener draw at home to Brentford last weekend as they conceded a 2-0 lead with two goals in the last half-hour. It was a poor result for a team expecting to fight for Europe again.

Arsenal vs Leicester City Lineups

The Gunners squad is getting healthier with the return of Takehiro Tomiyasu and Emile Smith Rowe on the bench. Summer signing Fabio Vieira is back in training but isn’t in the squad on matchday.

Reiss Nelson is the only player missing through injury. Players likely on their way to new clubs – right-back Hector Bellerin and goalkeeper Alex Runarsson – have been left out of the squad altogether.

Arsenal starting line-up (4-2-3-1, right to left): 1-Aaron Ramsdale (GK) – 4-Ben White, 12-William Saliba, 6-Gabriel, 35-Oleksandr Zinchenko – 5-Thomas Partey, 34-Granit Xhaka – 7-Bukayo Saka, 8-Martin Odegaard, 11-Gabriel Martinelli — 9-Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal substitutions (9): 30 – Matt Turner, 18 – Takehiro Tomiyasu, 16 – Rob Holding, 3 – Kieran Tierney, 25 – Mohamed Elneny, 23 – Albert Sambi Lokonga, 10 – Emile Smith Rowe, 19 – Nicolas Pepe, 14 – Eddie Nketiah.

Ricardo Pereira (Achilles), Harvey Barnes (knee) and Ryan Bertrand (knee) remain unavailable for the Foxes, but manager Brendan Rodgers has a deep bench available. After all, he will field Youri Tielemans, which makes for a somewhat awkward situation given the numerous transfer reports.
