Arsenal vs Sporting CP lineups, starting 11s and latest team news for Europa League Round of 16 first leg

Premier League leaders Arsenal will hope to maintain their momentum when they meet Sporting CP in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday.

The Gunners recently clinched a dramatic 3-2 league win over Bournemouth which puts them five points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

Although Sporting aren’t exactly flourishing in Portugal, they have found form lately and have won their last three games without conceding a goal.

Without a number of key attackers, Arsenal could find it difficult to beat their opponents away from home in this first leg.

Mikel Arteta was dealt a fresh injury blow with an attacker against Bournemouth Leandro Trossard had to be substituted in the first half with a groin injury.
