Naples, FL –News Direct– TopNewsGuide – Market news and commentary

Technologies that promote a sustainable future are now in strong focus, and investors are now increasingly looking for companies with large-scale engagements in this space. One of the companies that has made significant strides in this regard is Atlantic Power and Infrastructure Corp (OTCMKTS:AWSL).

The company is extensively involved in the environmental technology industry and one of its technologies helps transform recycled tire materials into sustainable infrastructure products. The product that Atlantic Power and Infrastructure developed is known as Flexi-Pave, known for its flexibility, strength and porosity. These attributes have enabled the product to be used in coastal defense walls, marine and similar infrastructure projects.

Another of the company’s products is its water purification technology, which helps remove harmful algae from freshwater bodies. Atlantic Power and Infrastructure is committed to using its existing products to produce everything from waste to power generation.

Earlier this month, on February 8th, the company was in the news after announcing it had worked with its UK-based subsidiary KB Industries Ltd to complete the installation of part of the Trans Pennine Trail. The company used up to 15,065 used truck and car tires for the project.

It should be noted that using these tires helped save 331,411 kilos of CO2, which could have caused further damage to the environment. The installation of the company’s Flexi Pave product was also warmly welcomed by local communities in the counties of Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

It was also indicated at the time that it was KB Industries intention to secure additional sections of the Trans Pennine Trail where Flexi-Pave could be installed. The company has been working diligently on a number of projects and made a similar announcement about a project in the United States in January.

AWSL Chairman/CEO Mr Kevin Bagnall said: “The Trans Pennine Trail is under the approval of a number of Yorkshire and Derbyshire communities in the region, all determined to help the environment and community in any way they can . You have now witnessed the multitude of environmental benefits that Flexi®-Pave has brought to the track. Their goal is to continue to improve the test in a way that only KBI’s proprietary Flexi®-Pave can provide. I see this as the first of these. In the future there will be many more sections of Flexi®-Pave along the way.”

On January 18th, Atlantic Power and Infrastructure announced it had completed the installation of 14,000 SF KBI Black Flexi-Pave to improve the walking path in one of the largest senior citizen communities in the United States known as The Villages.

Kevin Bagnall, the company’s chief executive officer, also spoke about the project. He noted that everyone in the company is proud to have completed the project. He added that The Villages management has also been very satisfied with the previous installations of the product that have been carried out by the company.

Bagnall added that Flexi-Pave footpaths and paths are known to relieve stress and tension when jogging or walking, making it perfect for the senior community.

Last November, the company’s Flexi-Pave product had shown considerable resilience when faced with the fury of Hurricane Ian. The hurricane was the most devastating to hit Fort Myers, Florida since 1935 and had struck the flexi pave sidewalks at the Mound House Museum. However, the sidewalks withstood the full force of the hurricane and remained undamaged. It was one of the most impressive demonstrations of the strength of Atlantic Power and Infrastructure’s product.
