Audio Brand Revo Announces Its Latest SuperConnect Stereo Radio

Classic German audio brand Revo has announced their first new product in quite some time. The company manufactures a range of traditional radio designs using the latest technology in internet radio and music streaming services.

The latest model in Revo’s premium range of Super Series digital radios is the new SuperConnect Stereo, announced in a press release to specialist audio retailers this week. The new model is a digital stereo radio with DAB/DAB+/FM and Internet connectivity with convenient app-based control. The new model is available in walnut and black or walnut and silver finishes

This SuperConnect Stereo is an updated stereo version of one of the most iconic digital radios to come out in recent years and is the culmination of 20 years of product design and development. Thanks to its Wi-Fi connectivity, the Revo SuperConnect Stereo can access more than 36,000 radio stations worldwide and more local broadcasts via DAB, DAB+ and FM with RDS tuners. In addition, there are advanced features with music streaming for Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer.

The Revo SuperConnect’s body is constructed from American walnut with a choice of black or silver anodized aluminum. As well as Wi-Fi connectivity, the SuperConnect can connect via Bluetooth and claims to have CD-quality streaming from smartphones and tablets.

The SuperConnect Stereo can be controlled using either the UNDOK smartphone app, the included remote control or traditional analogue knobs and buttons on the radio. It also offers a range of connectors and ports for other devices.

Constructed of premium materials and components, the SuperConnect Stereo’s wooden cabinet is handcrafted from sustainable, FSC-certified furniture-grade American walnut, with an anodized aluminum fascia and speaker grille and mild steel backplate. An OLED display sits on the bezel of the radio and joystick controls for a contemporary twist. The amplifier delivers 30W of digital audio.

The speakers built into the SuperConnect are BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) drivers that use flat diaphragm transducer technology, combining the attributes of a flat panel speaker with the piston-like motion of a traditional dynamic speaker. The result claims Revo, a powerful compact drive unit that spreads sound over an area with an expanded sweet spot.

According to Revo, to refine the sound of the SuperConnect Stereo, Revo uses “innovative sound modeling alongside custom hardware design. Thanks to a proprietary EQ configuration, Revo assures in its press release that the SuperConnect has a warm and open sound with clarity, detail and a rich, deep bass free of coloration and distortion.

The SuperConnect Stereo uses UNDOK technology which can be accessed with the UNDOK app available for iOS or Android platforms. The app brings together all radio features including DAB, internet radio, FM, music streaming services and network audio.
