The task of getting into this concert is relatively easy, as the game’s short opening scene requires players to get used to the backtalk challenges. In these mini-challenges, players take components of their opponent’s dialogue and fire back at them with insults and comebacks at eye level for a result that favors Chloe. In the first Backtalk challenge, Chloe fights with the bouncer stationed in front of the old mill, the only thing standing between her and the sight of Firewalk.

First, go to the heavily tattooed bouncer stationed outside the entrance to the Old Mill and speak to him. This will prompt Chloe to take out her fake ID and show it to the bouncer, assuming that this will be enough to get her into the concert.

Unfortunately, the bouncer quickly sniffs out that the ID is fake, throws it back at Chloe and denies her entry. If players know Chloe Price at all, they know she won’t take no for an answer – so players now have to find another way, past the bouncer and into the concert.

Step Two: Check out the floral print motorcycle

There’s a mechanic in there Life is Strange: Before the Storm This allows characters to unlock specific lines of dialogue by discovering various objects and looking for clues in the environment. In the opening sequence, one of these unlockable lines of text can be triggered by Chloe Look at the motorbike closest to the bouncer.

The bike in question was supposed to have a floral pattern, which Chloe notes sarcastically. After looking at this flower-covered motorbike, a text box that says “New Dialogue Unlocked” should appear in the top-left corner of the screen.

Step Three: Talk to the bouncer again

Oddly enough, the only way to get into the concert is to speak to the bouncer again. When players talk to the bouncer again, three dialogue options are available, but the only one that brings Chloe into the concert is “Let me in now.”

Selecting this dialog option will launch a backtalk challenge. The first two dialogue options are pretty easy to choose as the game gives players a quick guide on how to complete the backtalk challenges. The exchange goes back and forth, and the player should respond to each remark as follows:

  • First, the bouncer will make a comment about Chloe’s “bedtime being over”. In response, players can choose either “Your bedtime?” or “No bedtime.”
  • He will then say that Chloe’s snarky response was “cute”. Players can choose either “I don’t do ‘cute'” or “Cute is relative.”
  • The next part, instead of having two correct dialogue options, will have one. The bouncer replies, “Ok boy. I see you’re tough.” Choose the dialogue option “This is not a playground.”
  • The bouncer then remarks that he can’t protect “a girl like Chloe” once she’s in the concert, to which the players have two possible answers. If players didn’t look at the flower-print bike, they can reply with “A girl like me?” However, if players noticed the flower print motorbike, they can reply with as well “Flowers on your bike?”
  • Finally, if all other dialogue options are chosen correctly, the bouncer tells Chloe that only his boss decides who gets in. The player must answer with “Boss suck.”

After that last line of dialogue, the bouncer backs away, letting Chloe into the concert to see Firewalk.
