We have an idea of what positions the New Orleans Saints might see as their top team’s needs after the first few weeks of free agent signings — it might be the wrong idea, but it’s a good idea. The Saints acted quickly to meet each of our two key roster needs early in free agency, defensive tackle and running back, and they have an opportunity to take action in the areas that remain.
But the 2023 NFL draft is upon us, and in some cases the Saints would do better to pick a rookie than invest in a veteran player. Here’s a position-by-position look at the options available to you in the free agent market and in the upcoming draft class:
