In a recent interview with The MacLifes Oscar Willis, Conor McGregor shared an insight into his experience coaching for TUF’s 31st season. The UFC previously announced his return to the octagon as a coach, with a fight against rival Michael Chandler scheduled for later this year.

McGregor shared that this coaching experience is different than his previous one as he now includes his own training into the mix. He spoke about the energy and fear that fighters bring to the mat and how important it is for them to maintain their mental toughness throughout the competition.

“It’s very different. I’m also incorporating my own training now and starting to get into that as well. It’s great to get on the mats and hello today. The guys have that energy and that fear and that mental commitment her now, that’s done. You can go home and settle down and rest… And tomorrow it’s on again. You have to carry yourself like it’s every day.
