Birmingham 2022 launches the official Auction & Memorabilia programme

The official marketplace for auctions and memorabilia for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games has officially launched, offering fans the chance to bring the games home and own a piece of sporting history.

The rare, authentic and exclusive pieces of history and memorabilia from the promotion go on sale today on the official website.

The collection will include exclusive items from medal ceremonies, opening and closing ceremonies, the Queen’s Baton Relay, official gear from fans’ favorite sports stars, sports gear and replica tickets in the coming weeks.

Some of the coveted sporting goods on display during the games include autographed rugby balls from quarters, semis and medals, as well as beach volleyball, basketballs, hockey balls and boxing gloves. The collection will also include some of the most memorable Opening and Closing Ceremony props as they become available.

Each item comes with a certificate of authenticity and an official hologram as part of the only authorized collection of Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games memorabilia, ensuring fans not only receive a one-of-a-kind item but also help to create a legacy with the proceeds Back to the games to fund important community projects.

The auction begins online today at memories.birmingham2022.com to allow fans to bid on a range of collections of Opening and Closing Ceremony sports and memorabilia. The bid price starts at £30 and fans can track their bid to ensure they have a chance to collect their pieces of history.

The Buy It Now collection is live and available for purchase while supplies last.

As well as the official memorabilia, Games fans will have the opportunity to commemorate Birmingham 2022 with a ‘fan wall’ being erected on the grounds of the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. The Fan Wall will be a 6m x 2m photo mosaic capturing iconic moments from the Games to show what the city and community have achieved against the backdrop of Alexander Stadium.

From £35, fans can look forward to having their photos on display later this year when the Alexander Stadium Fan Wall is erected.
