Brest vs PSG live updates, highlights from Ligue 1

62 minutes: Opportunity PSG! Kylian Mbappe has a clear sight of goal but he’s going right instead of left and can’t get it on the frame.

57 minutes: Chance Brest! A header after a standard situation in the PSG box is only narrowly bent over the goal. Goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma was right there but it was still too close to console PSG.

55 minutes: Opportunity PSG! It’s Messi with a quick control and a shot, but it’s off the mark. He may not be influential, but Messi can make a difference out of nothing.

49 minutes: More smoke to start halfway. Meanwhile, Brest defender Achraf Dari sends an arm down Kylian Mbappe’s throat, sending the France star down. He’s back on his feet as the smoke clears.

46th minute: The second half is on. No changes on either side.

Halftime: Brest 1-1 PSG

halftime: It was a fairly even first half and the result reflects the action on the field. PSG looked like they were increasingly likely to score, but Brest stayed around and looked like they could do some damage in transition.

Kylian Mbappe shows he has the ability to cause problems for Brest and PSG need him to get things going. Lionel Messi, on the other hand, is not in his game and doesn’t look threatening at all. After his poor performance against Bayern Munich, we’ll see how long he can get a pass in Paris.

45 minutes: game lag. Brest supporters light the torches and the smoke engulfs the field. The referee must stop play and wait for it to end before restarting it.

44 minutes: Goal Brest! A long ball over Del Castillo’s head finds the cunning Franck Honorat, who runs his run past two defenders and flicks a shot past PSG keeper Donnarumma. What a well-achieved goal.
