Britney Spears Says Latest Rumors About Health Make Her ‘Sick’ – Billboard

Britney Spears says she’s tired of the rumours. In a pointed Instagram post on Thursday evening (February 9), the singer lashed out amid the recent spate of headlines about her personal life, writing: “It sickens me that it’s even legal for people to make up stories like this I’m almost died…I mean sometime is enough!!! I will probably have to stop posting on Instagram because while I enjoy doing it, there are obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well!!!”

As of press time, a spokesman for Spears had not returned billboard‘s request for comment on the reports.

While Spears didn’t directly address those reports in her Thursday post — which included a slide that read, “A state of gratitude will take you to a higher frequency” — she said the stories “didn’t surprise her at all.” I’m doing my best again!!! On Jan. 28, Spears addressed a reported police health check and threw water on the reports of her health. “Yes, that’s me…alive and fine,” she tweeted alongside a video that appears to have been filmed at a fitness center, also addressing her recent Instagram goodbye. “But not really convinced by these health juices. I mean there are SO MANY!!!”

“I closed my Instagram because too many people said I look like an idiot who dances and that I look crazy. Honestly, I did my best, but it bothered me when people talk freely about it on TV… yes, it hurt my feelings,” Spears said in a second tweet.

“I’m shocked as hell that fans got worried and sent the police to me when I shut down my Instagram… it was really inappropriate… I adore my fans but for those who did that aren’t real fans and I felt.” me honest like it’s a way to make me look bad!!!”

On January 26, Spears responded to reports that police had been called to her home earlier in the week after deleting her Instagram, allegedly urging fans to call the police out of concern for her well-being.

“As everyone knows, due to some prank calls, the police were called to my home. I love and adore my fans but this time it went a bit too far and my privacy was violated,” Spears wrote in a post. “The police never entered my house and when they got to my gate they quickly realized there was no problem and left immediately.”

TMZ was the first to break the news of the check, explaining that the Ventura Co. Sheriff’s Office started receiving calls about Spears, leading to “authorities [to visit her] home from an abundance of caution”; The 41-year-old singer had deleted (and restored) her Instagram account several times before the new incident.

Spears continued in her note, “I felt like I was being set on fire and being bullied as the incident made the news and was once again portrayed in a bad and unfair light by the media. During this time in my life, I really hope that the public and my fans, who are so dear to me, can respect my privacy.”
