Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Although the call of Duty Franchise has had a competitive scene since 2013, only with the release of Call of Duty Warzone that the fans really cared. And that’s because Call of Duty Warzone introduced the franchise with a number of new features that overhauled the way players played. This new one call of Duty Battle Royale let players test their survival skills on a huge map full of buildings and other unique landmarks.
call of Duty war zone also introduced the gaming community to a new form of playstyle that focuses heavily on fast movement. One of the most divisive moves ever discovered was that of “slide canceling,” where a player moved faster than intended. With Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward had finally decided to fix the problem, but it wasn’t long before players discovered a new slide-breaking movement. How to perform the maneuver.
Change in-game settings
Just like in Call of Duty Warzone, players wishing to cancel Slide Cancel will need to change some settings in their game. First go into settings and then choose your input (keyboard & mouse or controller). Once in this menu, players should scroll down to the Gameplay section and change the Weapon Mount Activation to Double-Tap ADS. Then players should go to the advanced settings located at the top of the input menu.
Scroll down to the Motion Behavior section and uncheck Grounded Mantle and Automatic Grounded Mantle. Once that is complete, players can test out the new slide canceling move, preferably with an SMG like the MP5 (Lachmann Sub).
Movement to break off the slider
In order to perform the slide-cancel move, players must complete the following steps:
- Activate Tactical Sprint
- Press the slide button
- Double tap ADS while sliding
- Press jump
Of course, players will need to complete these steps quickly if they want to exit successfully. Players could turn on auto tactical sprint to make things smoother, but it’s not a requirement.
As players will notice, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Slide Cancel is much slower than War Zones or avant-garde break off the foil. Although Slide Cancel can be helpful in some situations, players should avoid doing it during a firefight as it is slower than Tac Sprinting. Maybe inside war zone 2Players will find more uses for it, but as of now it’s more of a liability than a benefit in small multiplayer maps.
