Chelsea team news: Injuries, predicted lineup, debuts, Raheem Sterling latest and more vs. Tottenham

Chelsea will be banking on a potential Premier League title challenge this season after Thomas Tuchel invested over £150million this summer.

Thomas Tuchel has bolstered his squad with key acquisitions in recent weeks, with Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella all arriving at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues got off to a winning start to the campaign as Jorginho’s penalty secured a 1-0 away win at Everton while Tottenham beat Southampton 4-1 at home.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has also overhauled his squad this summer, with Richarlison, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma among the newcomers to north London.

Chelsea injury news for Spurs clash

Tuchel is expected to have a full squad to choose from before the game, but he could reshuffle his starting XI on his return to home soil.

Cucurella’s starting XI debut will be his main concern, while USA international Christian Pulisic, who has impressed off the bench against Everton, will also give him food for thought.

What was the result between Chelsea and Tottenham last season?

Chelsea beat Tottenham home and away in the Premier League last season by a 5-0 aggregate scoreline, including a goal in both games by Thiago Silva.

Tuchel’s charges also won both legs of their EFL Cup semi-final against Spurs in January and are unbeaten in their last 11 meetings against Tottenham in all competitions.
