Derry move closer to top tier after dramatic win over Dublin
Derry recovered and beat Dublin 1-11 to 0-13 in the Allianz League Division 2 game at Celtic Park.
Brendan Rogers was Derry’s hero as he secured the win with the game’s penultimate shot.
Derry were five points behind at the break and only took the lead for the first time in the 69th minute through substitute Lachlan Murray.
A free Cormac Costello had settled matters before midfielder Rogers sliced through a tired Dublin cover to Celtic Park’s raptures.
