How to start the Mystery of Spring side quest.
To find the note needed to start the Mystery of Spring side quest in Diablo 4, exit Kyovashad through the eastern gatehouse into the Frigid Expanse area. Head north until you have to climb a short ledge next to a Lilith altar that will take you to the Kylsik Plateau. At this point, the map should reveal a dungeon called Forsaken Quarry.
Run to the quarry dungeon, then turn left at the entrance to find a ladder that leads to a wooden platform sticking out of the cliff. Climb up and you will find the Crumpled Note. Note in hand, follow the quest marker down the ladder and northeast to find a hot spring and take out any enemies you encounter along the path there.
How to solve the mystery of the spring puzzle in Diablo 4
Arriving at the hot spring, it’s time to solve the puzzle. The key part is the hint about patience. You must use the Wait emote to solve the Mystery of Spring puzzle. The emote does not appear on the emote wheel by default. So if you haven’t already added it, you must do so before advancing the quest.
Tap E on your keyboard to bring up the emote wheel, then click the Customize button below it. In the list of emotes, left-click Wait, then use the wheel below to select where you want to assign it. Remember to click Save Changes.
Stand next to the quill and bring up the emote wheel by pressing E again, then left-click the wait emote to reveal a buried chest. Loot the chest to get a stack of XP, gold, gear and to complete the side quest.
