What you should know

The Buffalo Bills have been up 9-3 against the Miami Dolphins since October 2016 and have a chance to continue that success on Sunday. The Bills and Miami will go head-to-head in an AFC East bout at 1:00 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium. These two teams set the bar high for this game after outstanding offensive performances in their previous games.

Last Monday, Buffalo turned the game against the Tennessee Titans into a track meeting, taking the gold after passing them 414 yards on 187. Buffalo was the clear winner with a 41-7 lead over Tennessee. The game was pretty much over by the end of the third, by which time Buffalo had built up a 41-7 advantage. WR Stefon Diggs and QB Josh Allen were among the primary playmakers for the Bills, as the former caught 12 passes for three TDs and 148 yards and the latter passed on 38 attempts for four TDs and 317 yards.

Buffalo’s defense was also present, holding the Titans to a paltry 187 yards. The defense collected two interceptions and two fumbles. The picks came courtesy of FS Jordan Poyer and OLB Matt Milano.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins didn’t have much breathing room in their matchup with the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, but they still walked away with a 42-38 win. Miami trailed 28-7 at the end of the half, but the roster rallied for a spectacular comeback. QB Tua Tagovailoa had a stellar game for Miami as he passed six TDs and 469 yards on 50 tries. Topping the highlight reel was Tagovailoa’s 60-yard TD bomb against WR Tyreek Hill in the fourth quarter.

The Bills are the favorites in this instance by an expected 5.5 point lead. They were consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (2-0) so could be worth a quick bet.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. Both teams may be feeling a little breathless after running the length of the field multiple times in their recent games.
