Navarrete made his professional debut in 2012. In 2018, he won the WBO junior featherweight title from Isaac Dogboe and defended it five times. Moving up to featherweight, he beat Ruben Villa for the WBO featherweight title in 2020.

Navarrete twice defended the belt and last fought in October when he defeated Joet Gonzalez by unanimous decision.
