Endgame’s Final Battle Was Missing 1 Big Thing (& How To Fix It)

While Avengers: Endgame’s final battle rallied nearly every hero in the MCU, Nick Fury could have brought the perfect cherry on top.

During the last fight in Avengers: Endgame with almost every hero rallied against Thanos and his forces, there was one big thing missing that would have truly made the conclusion of the Infinity saga perfect. Though he played a major role in bringing together Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the first avenger Film and his later roles in the MCU, former SHIELD director Nick Fury was noticeably absent from the War Against Thanos. While The final game The writers gave logical reasons why Samuel L. Jackson’s character was left out, there is still a possibility that the Spy Master could have been a key player against the Mad Titan.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

As seen in the post-credits scene Avengers: Infinity War, Fury and his second-in-command Maria Hill were both dusted when Thanos snapped his fingers and was part of half of all life that was wiped out in what would later become known as the Decimation. As such, none would be seen until the Avengers retrieved the Infinity Stones from the past to bring back those they lost. While this resulted in many of the wiped out Avengers returning just in time to take on Thanos and his armies, Fury and Hill were absent. According to co-screenwriter Christopher Markus, it was established that Nick Fury was not in the cast The final game final fight because he”would just fire a gun” amidst multiple heroes with all sorts of incredible powers. However, it should be obvious that Fury could have brought something big to the table.

As seen in the original avenger, Nick Fury provided ample air support for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes via the formidable SHIELD Helicarrier. Seen despite SHIELD’s ending Captain America: Winter SoldierFury kept the Helicarrier in reserve to be used in a similar fashion Avengers: Age of Ultron. Bring the impressive plane to it The final game Final battle would have been poetic, a sequel avenger trend, while Fury bestows epic firepower (far beyond a simple pistol) on the heroes he helped assemble.

How Endgame Fury & The SHIELD Helicarrier could have used

The Helicarrier could easily have justified Fury’s presence in the final battle against Thanos, especially when you see the Mad Titan having his own ship known as The above him Sanctuary II However, the Helicarrier could have done even more. While endgame saw Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel arrive to destroy Thanos warship during the final battle, Fury and the Helicarrier could have been right behind her. Since Danvers was still largely a newcomer to heroes and fans at this point in the MCU, Fury could have shared her debut, giving her a smoother introduction as someone she actually knew. As a tandem, they could have taken that out refuge II before offering support to the Avengers below.

The last battle of Avengers: Endgame is rightly viewed as the all-encompassing conflict to conclude the MCU’s Infinity saga. However, it’s Nick Fury’s absence that keeps the fight from total perfection, the difference between an “A” and an “A+”. To that end, using the SHIELD helicarrier seems to have been the perfect way for Nick Fury to jump into the fray, rather than the former SHIELD director only showing up after Iron Man’s funeral.
