Ronda Rousey is one of the most respected names in martial arts and has successfully become a WWE Superstar. The former UFC Women’s Champion and Olympic medalist signed with WWE back in 2018, and since then, the Baddest Woman on the Planet has had an amazing career squared.
In addition to managing the biggest stage of them all, Rousey has won the SmackDown Women’s Championship and the RAW Women’s Title. Her microphone skills have also improved significantly over the years, allowing her to deliver some incredible rivalries against some big names in WWE’s women’s division.
6 Ronda Rousey vs. Alexa Bliss (2018)
Ronda Rousey faced then-RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax after WrestleMania 34. Rousey and Jax didn’t have a major feud, and their solo match at Money In The Bank 2018 ended in a disqualification due to interference from Alexa Bliss, who cashed in the Money in the Bank contract later that same night to the new red belt holder to become. Immediately after becoming RAW Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss began a rivalry with Ronda Rousey.
The feud between Alexa Bliss and Ronda Rousey was probably one of the worst feuds in the latter’s WWE career. The build up was good, but Bliss, the champion, was booked as a heel and underdog. A match between them was confirmed at SummerSlam 2018. As expected, Rousey crushed Bliss at the biggest party of the summer. The result was no different when a rematch was held at Hell in a Cell. Yes, Rousey was a dominant champion, but as a multiple women’s champion, Bliss should have been booked in this feud rather than having a one-sided rivalry.
5 Ronda Rousey vs Natalya (2022)
Natalya Neidhart, Ronda Rousey’s former girlfriend, had a feud when the latter was the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Fans knew Nattie wasn’t the one to beat Rousey, but the build up was good.
Natalya won a six pack challenge match to secure a title fight against Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank 2022. Her fight was surprisingly good and Nattie pushed Ronda to the limit. There were several submission attempts, but Rousey prevailed in the end. Given the plot of the feud, it was a decent feud. However, it was too short. Extending the feud for a rematch would have been great, but Rousey already lost the title at Money in the Bank when Liv Morgan conceded the briefcase.
4 Ronda Rousey vs. Liv Morgan (2022)
The last Ronda Rousey feud was with Liv Morgan. Rousey successfully beat Natalya to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank 2022, but Liv Morgan redeemed the Money in the Bank contract to win the blue belt, beginning the feud.
Not many people would have guessed that Liv Morgan would be the third woman to defeat the Baddest Woman on the Planet. But the post-Money in the Bank rivalry was stale. While Rousey looked strong while developing the feud, Morgan’s Money in the Bank win looked like a fluke. Even as they faced off, Morgan tapped an armbar, but the referee didn’t notice, controversially handing the win to the champion. With an average build and an odd ending at SummerSlam, Morgan and Rousey’s feud was an ordinary one.
3 Ronda Rousey Against Authority (Stephanie McMahon & Triple H) (2018)
After singing for WWE, Ronda Rousey’s first major feud was against The Authority. WWE planted the seeds of the feud back in 2015. Ronda Rousey made a special appearance with The Rock at WrestleMania 31, knocking out both Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. The feud began again three years later when Rousey attacked the couple at the signing ceremony.
Considering it was their first feud, Rousey did surprisingly well with a veteran like Kurt Angle in her corner. Buildup aside, the match was better than most people expected. Not only did Rousey get physical with Stephanie, she also got physical with Hunter. Needless to say, the mixed tag team match with Rousey was one of the best matches of WrestleMania 34.
2 Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair (2022)
Ronda Rousey made a shocking return at Royal Rumble 2022, winning the Battle Royal match. She chose to challenge then-SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at the Showcase of Immortals and officially started a feud between them. Rousey managed to bring the heat to this rivalry and the two women ended up having a spectacular rivalry.
The promos in this feud were exceptional from both women. They had an intense backstage brawl and cheeky insults to exaggerate the rivalry. They’ve also been physically involved a few times on SmackDown. The Queen was the second woman Rousey pinned at WrestleMania 38. After the big match, Rousey won the rematch at WrestleMania BackLash to dethrone The Queen.
1 Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch (2019)
Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch were supposed to have a dream feud, but the latter’s injury replaced her with Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series. But then the feud continued afterwards when Lynch won the Women’s Royal Rumble match to challenge then-RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. And Charlotte Flair’s addition to the rivalry made it the winner takes all match.
When the feud led to the first WrestleMania Main Event involving women, the scale of the rivalry was immense. It had an incredible build up, especially when all three women got into a fight in the parking lot. Although Rousey suffered her first loss at WrestleMania 35, it was truly one of the greatest feuds in WWE history and easily the best feud of Rousey’s career.
