Red Bull’s Verstappen now leads the title race by a whopping 109 points over Ferrari team-mates Sergio Perez and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc after another superb performance at last week’s Dutch Grand Prix. The question is when, not if he will now win his second drivers’ title.
For that not to stand even the slightest chance, someone – likely Leclerc – needs to start winning while hoping Verstappen suffers an uncharacteristic loss of form. And where better to start for that than Monza, one of two GPs in Italy, along with the Imola race earlier in the season.
Unfortunately for Scuderia, Monza is a super-fast circuit (it set the fastest F1 lap ever in 2004) – and that should suit the Red Bull better than the Ferrari.
We’ll find out which teams have the best pace in practice one, which starts Friday at 1pm BST / 8am ET / 5am PT. There are multiple ways to tune in, including some free options. So read on and we’ll show you how to watch the Italian F1 Grand Prix live stream.
