Normally I wouldn’t like a pink and blue color scheme in golf shoes, but this design didn’t take long to tickle my fancy. It certainly stands out on this predominantly white model.
When I put the shoes on they felt very stable and protective. The shape of the shoe is very firm and that helps in different weather conditions.
I’m not the type of person who likes to push the envelope with color and style on the golf course, but if you are, these golf shoes are for you.
The spikeless sole was very comfortable once I put it on which was another plus.

When testing these golf shoes at Alwoodley, you could feel how breathable they are. There was a lot of room in the shoe – and that wasn’t because I took a size 11.
FootJoy has built breathable performance mesh into the Fuel Sport shoes for exactly this reason.
My right foot felt a bit uncomfortable as the top of the shoe would rub against my ankle at times.
This was the only feature that took away a five star rating from the FootJoy Fuel Sports. For the majority of the lap I felt comfortable with no issues.
The Tour Proven Traction is said to offer “optimal support and control”. I experienced this for the most part, but there was this touch of discomfort in my right foot.
Despite this, my performance was not hampered by this issue and I felt stable on every swing. This was thanks to the overall quality of FootJoy.
Stratolite foam is said to provide lightweight cushioning to ensure comfort and walkability, and I’ve felt the benefit of this feature underfoot.
I liked the fully rounded toe character that fits over the forefoot and instep. This created a very athletic profile and I think that will appeal to a lot of golfers.
Breathability is a keyword I want to emphasize in this review, and it’s an important feature when wearing this shoe in both favorable and unfavorable conditions.
A design this brightly colored might succumb to muddy conditions, but that’s a small price to pay for a solid and eye-catching golf shoe.
