Fortnite Chapter 3 guide: All week 1 quests and how to complete them

It’s the start of a brand new season of Fourteen days, and of course it comes with many challenges to overcome. During Chapter 3 Season 4, players will have access to a new set of quests, many of which require you to visit specific areas of the map. You’ll also need to take advantage of some of the new seasonal features, so take a little time to get used to the new locales and Chrome mechanics.

Here we are going to show you all the new challenges with guides to complete them all Fourteen days.

Season 4 week 1 quest guide

Step through a door at Cloudy Condos and No Sweat Insurance

Breaking through a door is different than just opening it. You have to run to the door and if you collide with it you will break through. So you have to do this at each location. Keep in mind that Cloudy Condos is a new airborne location, so land there first since it’s airborne. No Sweat Insurance is located in the middle of Tilted Towers. This is the tall building with a yellow balloon on top. Use the map above for each location. You don’t have to storm through both doors in a single match.

Damage players with the Lever Action Shotgun or Suppressed Submachine Gun

As you play, keep an eye out for the Lever Action Shotgun and Suppressed Submachine Gun. Since the Suppressed SMG has a longer range, you might have better luck with it, but choose what you’re more comfortable with. You must deal 350 damage with one or both of these weapons and track your progress across multiple games.

Clear a runaway boulder with a slide kick

You might have a little trouble with this quest as the slide kicks don’t do much damage, but there’s a trick you can use to make it easier. For this one, we recommend visiting the hill south of Tilted Towers (as shown on the map above), but there are many other areas that contain Runaway Boulders. In any case, get closer and damage the boulder with your pickaxe first to weaken it. Then, when the boulder is low on health, back out and run a barrel chute into it, knocking it out of position.

Drive different types of chrome vehicles

This quest requires you to use Chrome Splashes, which can be found in various locations around the map. First, we recommend landing at Cloudy Condos near the Chrome area. Either destroy Chrome trees or search for Chrome chests with Chrome Splashes. We recommend getting your hands on at least three of these as there are so many different vehicles to drive. Then look for a vehicle in that area and throw the Chrome Splash at it. After that, drive the vehicle to another area, like the shimmering shrine, to find another car or truck. Repeat the process by throwing the Chrome Splash at the next vehicle and then visiting a final area to drive a third vehicle. Tilted Towers is a great place for vehicles. Keep in mind that you don’t have to drive all three Chrome vehicles in one game.

Hit opponents while gliding

The wording for this quest is weird – you don’t need to slide into enemies to damage them, instead damage them with bullets as you slide. You have to hit 10 opponents, but they don’t have to be real players. Wolves and other NPCs also count. We recommend taking a great melee weapon, such as a pistol or SMG, and when you see an enemy, slide in close and do your best to deal damage.

Hunt different kinds of wild animals

There are many different wild animals on the map, so you can just keep an eye on them while playing normally and take them out one by one. If you want to jump straight into this quest, it’s best to visit locations near major hubs like Greasy Grove and Herald’s Sanctum. There is also plenty of wildlife around the Lustrous Lagoon. In each case, you must defeat three different types of wild animals in any number of games.

Purchase an item from Panther, Mancake, or The Underwriter

Above is a map of all three NPCs required for this quest. You only have to buy an item from one of them, which makes this quest a bit easier. Just make sure you have a few hundred gold bars set aside to purchase items.
