The 95th Annual Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 12 at 8:00 PM EST/5:00 PM PT.
How to watch the Oscars in Canada
In Canada, you can watch the televised Oscars live on CTV.
If you don’t have cable, you can also watch the event through CTV.ca, although you’ll need to choose a provider and sign up with a CTV account.
Canadians can also watch the ceremony through the CTV app on Android and iOS.
According to CTV, it will also be possible to live stream the show if you have a subscription to Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV, or Fubo TV.
Who is hosting the Oscars 2023?
Jimmy Kimmel is hosting the star-studded event this year for the third time.
Viewers at the event (hopefully) needn’t worry about his well-being either, as Vulture says a newly formed crisis management team will be on hand this year to ward off any slap-like behaviour.
Also involved in presenting the show are Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan and Melissa McCarthy to name a few.
Meanwhile, fresh from the success of her Super Bowl show, Rihanna will be appearing at the 2023 Oscars.
The Academy confirmed that the singer will perform the song “Lift Me Up.” Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Meanwhile, a number of Canadians have been nominated for Oscars this year, including Domee Shi of To reddenChris Williams, the writer and director of The Sea Creatureand Brendon Fraser for his performance in The whale.
