The games of this weekend

The Roughnecks are no longer unbeaten and the winning streak of four games at the beginning of the season is over.

The Roughnecks were down by a touchdown with five seconds left. As Houston quarterback Brandon Silvers turned his attention to a big game, Sea Dragons defenseman Niko Lalos intercepted his pass to seal Seattle’s excitement.

Silvers ended the game 25-to-47 with 227 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Ben Dinucci, Quarterback from the Sea Dragons, achieved 17 to 32 with 209 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions.

And then there was another. Despite the Battlehawks’ efforts to stage a comeback, the Defenders are 5-0.

Battlehawks quarterback AJ McCarron’s 50-yard touchdown pass with just over four minutes left in the game helped level the score at 28-20. After forcing the Defenders to stab, the Battlehawks appeared to have a chance to come back. However, McCarron’s pass was intercepted by defender Michael Joseph with 55 seconds left, ending the chance of a late goal. The Defenders celebrated their fifth win of the season.

Defenseman running back Abram Smith had a good night with 23 carries for 218 yards and three touchdowns. His biggest evening was this 70 Yard touchdown to set up the defenders in the third quarter.

Vegas was led by quarterback Luis Perez, who went 20-28 for 269 yards and three touchdowns. While Guardians quarterback Quinten Dormady went 22-25 with 256 yards and two touchdowns.

As the Viper ended the game, wide receiver Jeff Badet caught up a 25-yard pass from Perez to give the Viper a nine-point lead. Here’s a look at the Vipers’ final touchdown that sealed the game:

San Antonio had two chances to take the lead in the final minutes of the game, but both ended in interceptions. On the night, Brahmas quarterbacks Reid Sinnett and Jack Coan went for a combined 20-for-34 for 127 yards, notching one touchdown and three interceptions.
