Silver Rathalos – strengths and weaknesses

  • Weak spots – wings, legs
  • Persistent Points – Tail, Head, Neck
  • Elemental/Disease Weakness – Water, Thunder
  • Elemental/Disease Resistance – Poison, Stun, Blast
  • Best Weapon Damage – Slam damage

Much like the Gold Rathian, the Silver Rathalos is weak to Thunder and Water (especially the latter), so weapons like the Almudron, Zinogre, or Narwa lines might come in handy, but don’t get your hopes up on status builds because he immense is particularly resistant to Blast, Stun and Poison. However, one difference between him and the golden wyvern is that he is weaker against slam damage than club or shoot, making Blademaster weapons like Dual Blades and Insect Glaives work better.

Best gear to fight Silver Rathalos

  • weapons – Skysoar Flash, Mud Shredders, Despot’s Twindart
  • armor – Seething Bazelgeuse, Golden Rathian

Silver Rathalos is vulnerable to slashing damage, so anything you’re comfortable with on the Blademaster side of weapon sounds should be fine. Since you want to operate with Water and Thunder options, weapons like the Mud Shredders (Almudron’s Dual Blades), with their purple sharpness and high water damage numbers, should work well against a monster as agile as this. However, if you prefer to go for Thunder weapons, then the Insect Glaives Skysoar Flash (Narwa) or the Despot’s Twindart (Zinogre) will also deal enough damage to last in combat.

On the armor side, anything with high fire resistance should do, and both Pride (Seething Bazelgeuse) and Golden Lune (Golden Rathian) sets are some of the best set options for this. There aren’t any major ailments Silver deals to Rathalos, but he does deal poison damage from time to time and can surprise and stun you if he hits you often enough, so you might want to use the right decorations to prevent that.

Silver Rathalos – Combat breakdown and moves

Fighting Silver Rathalos isn’t all that different from normal combat, with the main differences being how much more aggressive his general demeanor and attack moves are, and the newly added flaming attacks he wields during this fight. His usual moves tend to stay stronger, so don’t get too comfortable and stay alert, and once he gets enraged, his flames will change to a bluish-white color and introduce new AoE attacks. During his enraged mode, you will see various new attacks such as: B. a multi-line AoE with pillars of flame that span a long distance, and a huge blue AoE fire blast that will likely wipe you out if you eat it. Luckily, they’re all pretty easy to dodge, so keep moving and be aware of your surroundings, flank the monster as often as you can, and you should be fine.
