THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

The treasurer of Les Invalides attacks

The Treasurer Of Les Invalides excels on a few important points. First, they are enormously, and their attacks have a long range. They also have a full set of moves imbued with electricity. However, Treasurer’s most notable element is that he doesn’t stagger when hit by heavy attacks. So while you could interrupt most bosses with a fully charged attack, you have to respect Treasurer’s attacks. Luckily there is still a lot of opportunities to damage this titan, and we’ll identify them all, turn by turn, below.

Gargoyle Summon

With this move, the Treasurer puts his key in her chest and then summons three Gargoyles. In all respects, the gargoyles are projectiles, not enemies. So avoid them and they will explode. Land a few hits during the part where the Treasurer turns the key, but make sure you’re ready to charge away once those gargoyles pop out.

If a gargoyle does hit you, They will do relatively little damage, but they apply a large amount of the Electricity effect.

key swipe

This is a relatively slow horizontal swipe. The Treasurer holds his key out to the side before slamming it at you. So if you see them doing that, you’ll want to run past him and attack from behind.

Huge keystroke

Correct, the Treasurer has a second horizontal attack. This one is also fairly slow, but has a much longer range, even reaching a decent distance behind. You know this attack is coming when you see it end with a huge two-handed swing. You can run past him to attack from behind, but be careful, If you’re a touch too far left, you’ll be cut off at the end of his swing.

overhead slam

For this attack, the Treasurer raises his key over his head and then knocks him to the ground. While this move has a pretty notable tell, eh It takes the treasurer a solid second to get that key over his head before bringing it down, it can catch you completely off guard. Especially as movement is tracked to some extent. Besides that, You can dash to the side and his recovery is long enough to mark him with a charged attack.

Once the Treasurer is filled with lightning, this attack also sends a lightning bolt forward. So make sure you dodge behind him or shoot to the side.

Rotating Lightning

Once the Treasurer has reached its final form, it will Summon a gargoyle that fires a bolt of lightning and spins on the Treasurer’s back. This movement is actually quite slow. So just dash in the opposite directionand you’ll be able to get away from it fairly easily.

Rocket Butt Slam

This is another final stage attack. As soon as you see fire coming out of the Treasurer’s back, you’re about to take off. And what comes up must come down. You’re having a pretty decent time getting away. He is also completely vulnerable after landing. Which of course is the perfect opportunity to finish him off.

When it comes to equipment, the powerful weapons lose their greatest advantage, since Treasurer cannot be staggered with charged attacks. So, The lighter weapons are better suited to bring down this big boy. If we’re being honest, the fact that Treasurer is so slow and all his movements are so heavily telegraphed means you can use almost any weapon against him.

As a side note, if you want to take part in this fight in the best possible shape, this isn’t a bad idea Bring some resistive vials for the lights. The Treasurer has a number of lightning-based attacks, allowing you to effectively eliminate that aspect of this fight.

The Battle Strategy of the Les Invalides Treasurer

Before we even get started, the first thing you need to know about The Treasurer Of Les Invalides is this he does not stagger. The only time we’ve seen a boss like this before was with the Instable Statuary Ram. As we hinted at in the gear section, you can’t chain charged attacks together by putting the treasurer on her butt multiple times.

While the Treasurer may be able to move right through your attack with barely a flinch, his attacks are telegraphed so clearly that this shouldn’t be too much of an issue. If he raises his key above his head he will perform a vertical attack, if he brings the key to his side the attack will be a swiping horizontal attack. If you can, get behind him and attack his back. Otherwise, back dash for swipe attacks and side dash for vertical attacks.

Another key moment for an attack is when the Treasurer turns the key in her chest. A lot of damage can be done here. The time he’s trapped in this animation seems pretty universal to all of his moves. Once he turns the key, it’s time to charge away.

Once you get the Treasurer down to half health, he will summon a bolt of lightning that imbues his giant, vertical key swing with electricity. now The move isn’t just a powerful attack, it’s essentially a projectile. In his second phase, too, he likes to use it a lot. So just jump to the side and then unleash a charged attack while it recovers. He will also use his rotating lightning attack. This is an excellent opportunity to cause damage. Just stay close to him, land big attacks and run away from the lightning if necessary.

Once you get the Treasurer down to about a quarter of his health, he’ll start shooting into the sky and plummeting down. The launch for this attack involves a key turn and Once he lands he will be vulnerable. So make sure you dash away when the missiles come out and then dash back in once he’s on the ground. It won’t take long to take him down from here.
