Another nightmarish excursion, another terrifying abomination to sift through – such is the way Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2. This time around, the game continues to throw larger-than-life enemies at you, following in the meaty footsteps of Thespian. However, Ubbo-Sathla dwarfs anything you’ve encountered so far.

Ubbo-Sathla is less a single entity and more a wall of pulsing, mutated flesh that taints the landscape with a heaping array of growths and tumors. In short, Ubbo-Sathla is disgusting. It doesn’t hit, and you’ll be besieged from almost every conceivable angle right from the start.

Ubbo-Sathla’s attacks

Ubbo-Sathla, like most bosses in Lovecraft’s Untold Stories, doesn’t have many attacks. That doesn’t make it any less dangerous either. Ubbo-Sathla has one too quite a few minions who are eager to tear you apart.

Ubbo-Sathla occupies a large amount of screen real estate and its tentacles are located at the very edges of its imposing frame. If you stand directly in front of Ubbo-Sathla, the tentacles cannot reach you.
spit poison The center of Ubbo-Sathla will fire a large projectile of acid about every second. This deals moderate damage and inflicts acid. This attack is much easier to dodge without being distracted by tentacles. Stand in front of Ubbo-Sathla and move repeatedly in a small circle. You will effortlessly dodge any attack.

Ubbo-Sathlas Mechanics

Ubbo-Sathla starts this fight with Minions on the field, and will summon more regularly how the time flies. It comes in two variants – tentacle and spit. Tentacles are your default acid-wielding foes that you’ve faced countless times before. The only difference here is that they have it significantly better health.

The Spitters willl Rapid-Fire Acid on you and are incredibly dangerous. They fire much faster than Ubbo-Sathla’s main body, and they can easily overwhelm you if you don’t take them out while they appear.

However, what makes this summoning mechanic interesting is that Each servant is linked to Ubbo-Sathla. If you pain one of his minions, you will deal one same amount of damage to Ubbo-Sathla. Killing his minions isn’t the only thing that makes this fight Easier but also does it shorter.

Which character to use

You want a character that can move at once decent speed and act much damage. Range is absolute Not a factor here as the best way to deal with Ubbo-Sathla is to face him (faces?). We felt the witch excelled in this fightalthough she was also quite unforgiving as her defenses are low. The detective also works wonders – especially with an improved shotgun in his hands.

The plan is divided into two phases:

  1. Minion clearance
  2. circle dance

The minion clearing is yours priority as they pollute most of the arena. You must take them out quickly prevent unwanted projectiles from being shot at from all sides. Once this is done, you can fight Ubbo-Sathla directly.

You want to stand right in the middle of Ubbo-Sathla’s massive body. This location will make it its tentacles can’t hit you. With this position locked, the only attack to worry about is that Sour spit. All you have to do is move in small circle. The pursuit on this projectile is awfulso you should be able to avoid damage with ease.

Try not to make your circle too big since you could attack the tentacles and take bleed damage, which isn’t great. If your circle is too tight, you can too cannot dodge the projectile. also finally, Don’t get too close to Ubbo-Sathla as you want as much time as possible to avoid the attack.

In view of this all you have to do is shoot in Ubbo-Sathla’s vague direction, and you will do damage. Once it’s dead you can move on.
