How To Build A Conduit In Minecraft
Minecraft is a game that is constantly evolving, and with its changes new and interesting game mechanics are often introduced. In Aquatic update 1.13, players received the Heart of the Sea and something called the Conduit, a special and valuable item with unique properties.
However true Minecraft Mode, the game does not tell the player how to use all of their items. The conduit is particularly difficult because there’s really no instruction at all on what to do with it and how to activate it. Luckily, with the right tools, players can turn this simple item into a powerful beacon-like object that lets them breathe underwater Minecraft.
What is a line?
A Conduit is an item used in a Conduit Frame that players can craft underwater to grant themselves powerful buffs in the form of the Conduit Power status effect while in the water. Ducts not only provide better visibility underwater, but also give the player the ability to breathe normally underwater Minecraft. As such, anyone planning to build their base underwater will need a Conduit for convenience if they don’t want to invest heavily in water breathing potions.
The Conduit will also attack any enemy mobs that come near it, so it’s a fantastic way to protect an underwater base from drowned enemies. It has an enormous range of up to 96 blocks depending on the side, as the area of effect is spherical.
How to make a pipe and its frame
The conduit itself is just an item, a simple block of eight Nautilus Shells and a Heart of the Sea in the center of the crafting interface. Once players have this block, it will not do anything by itself and is useless until an actual framework is constructed for it.
The frame of the conduit is a slightly more complex construction. Players must build it out of blocks of Prismarine for it to work, and these blocks can be mined in Ocean Temples. Start with an X-shaped pattern on the floor five blocks wide.
Add the first layer of Prismarin on the X shape. First add a block at each end of the X and then a full row of blocks around the entire shape, one block above the original pattern on the floor.
Then just mirror the bottom layer on top by adding a block to each end of the X shape and stitching them together to form a second X on top. Players should end up with some kind of weird looking Prismarine cage.
Inside, place any block in the middle. This is a placeholder block that allows players to place the pipe in their frames themselves. Then just break the block and the line should activate. The pipe creates the sound of a beating heart when players are nearby and also has its own floating animation.
