How to Change Your Name on Instagram

How to change your Instagram name on the website
To change your Instagram display name via the desktop website, go to Instagram.com and log into your account. Click on the profile icon in the top right corner of the page and select profile. Click now edit profile at the top of the profile page. Alternatively, you can go directly to the Edit Profile page on Instagram.
You can now click on the form beside Surname field and enter the new name you want to use. You can also click the box next to username field and change your username. If you change your username, your profile URL will also change.
When you’re done, click Submit button at the bottom of the page.
You can also use any web browser on your phone to open the Instagram mobile website and log into your account. Now click on the profile icon on the bottom right corner of the screen and tap on that edit profile button on the next page. This button is next to your profile picture.
You can enter your new Instagram account name below Surname field and use the field below username to enter your new username. Scroll down and tap Submit to save these changes.
Remember that you can change your profile name twice within 14 days. If you change your Instagram name, you have 14 days to go back to the old username, as long as someone else doesn’t claim it in the meantime.
How do I change my Instagram name on the mobile app?
Instagram users can also use their apps on Android and iOS to change their profile name and username. Download Instagram on iPhone or Android and log in to your account by entering your username and Instagram password.
Then tap on the profile icon in the bottom right corner of the Instagram app home page. Now tap edit profile, located above your story highlights. You can use the… Surname Field to change your Instagram name. That username Field shows your current username on Instagram. You can change this to your desired username and tap Finished to save these changes.
