How to complete The Ancient Doorway quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To fully complete Ariel’s questline in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must complete The Ancient Doorway quest. We’ve put together a guide to help you put the stone slab back in place.

One of the best things about Disney Dreamlight Valley is its quests. They keep the game exciting and allow you to interact more with the loveable Disney characters scattered throughout the Valley. However, some quests are a bit more challenging than others.

The Ancient Doorway quest can be a little confusing, especially when you need to find a place to place the stone slab. We’ve created a handy quest guide that will allow you to get the slab back to where it belongs without too much hassle.

How to complete The Ancient Door quest

1. Reach friendship level 10 with Ariel

In order to unlock The Ancient Doorway quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must first reach friendship level 10 with Ariel.

You can reach level 10 with Ariel by talking to her daily, giving her gifts, and more. When you reach level 10, the quest becomes available.

2. Talk to Merlin

After you start the quest, Ariel will show you something she found while swimming. Once she gives you the stone slab, you will be instructed to go to Merlin.

To find Merlin you need to go around the map and find his avatar. Follow this icon and talk to him about the mysterious plate.

3. Enchant the stone slab with emotions

Merlin will explain that each rune must have an emotion associated with it. Talk to Ariel to find out which villagers you need to visit and bring in the first emotion. She will tell you to talk to these characters:

Remy about passions
Moana on excitement
Ursula about anger

4. Place the stone slab in the Mystic Cave

You can find the location of the stone slab at the bottom of the mysterious cave.

Once you’ve talked to all the characters and they’ve enchanted the slab, you’ll need to place the stone slab to open the door.

The Mystical Cave refers to the cave at Dazzle Beach that you had to explore when completing the With Great Power quest. It’s on the east side of Dazzle Beach and that’s where you’ll find the orb.

Once you’ve completed the With Great Power quest, go to the bottom of the cave. A familiar design is embedded on the right wall. Check it to insert the stone slab and the door will open.

Behind the door is a mystical crystal. Pick it up, talk to Ariel and the quest will be complete!
