How To Customize Your Character In Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: ASBR

How to unlock customization items

There are many ways to customize your character in ASBR including victory quotes, costumes, colors and more! However, you must first purchase custom medals from the gallery shop. Customize Medals are cosmetic items that you can purchase to change your character’s appearance, poses, tags, and more.

You can earn gold for medals by playing ASBR’s different modes, including All-Star Battle mode, Arcade mode, and Online mode. If you want to earn gold fast, ASB mode mission payouts are exceptionally robust.

Medals with a lock icon cannot be purchased from the gallery shop. Instead, you can unlock these items by completing missions in ASB and Online modes.

How to use customization mode

You can change your character’s outfit and color before a game (except ASB mode). However, if you want to add more unique details to your character, you should enter the customization mode. In Customization mode, you can set up four presets for specialized taunts and victory lines. To access this feature, open customization mode, select “Edit Character,” then select the character you want to change.

Taunt and Victory presets

Each character in ASBR receives four Taunt and Victory Sets consisting of a Phrase, a Possibility, and an SFX. First, select the Taunt or Victory set to customize.

Phrases contain many of your characters famous lines from her story arc. For example, you can choose Joseph Joestar’s iconic exaggerated model “OH NO!” or Jotaro Kujo’s apathy “Oh my goodness.” You can unlock more character tags by purchasing them Additional Speech Medal in the Gallery Shop.

When a character taunts or says his victory line, he does a pose or gesture. Every character has five pose medals for taunts and wins (ten total) available in the gallery shop.

Special effects are kanji that appear near your character when he taunts or poses victory. These effects add a layer of comic book flair that makes these moments stand out by giving them a manga look. In addition, each character has two additional SFX graphics sets in the gallery shop.

How to use your new custom presets in game

After customizing your taunt and win sets, exit the Edit Character menu. You will be asked if you want to save the changes you made. Make sure you select Yes. Otherwise, the new taunts and wins will revert to their previous settings. Also, if you close the game before exiting the menu and confirming your choice, the changes will not be saved.

From this point, using your new wins and taunts in the game is a breeze. You can set them after selecting a character in any of the ASBR modes outside of All Star Battle mode. Keep in mind that in the case of ranked online matches, you must set these options beforehand in your ranked match preferences. Character settings include the following:
