Micena’s attacks

Micena will bomb she using a few spells during this fight while also Summon increasingly powerful minions. Micena alone is fairly straightforward, but juggling her minions at the same time is much more difficult.

attack explanation counter
purple ball Micena fires a large purple ball at the party. Micena will often fire this spell multiple times in quick succession. This attack is a standard projectile and can be reflected without much effort. Not only that, but this attack also moves fairly slowly, making it even easier to think about.
fireball Micena fires a large ball of fire at the group, inflicting heavy fire damage and causing burns. This spell is more dangerous than her other projectile, but the counter is very similar. It doesn’t move overly fast, and the parry window is similar to projectiles you’ve dealt with before.
spirit of the swarm Micena summons a swarm of bees to protect her. These bees are not that difficult to kill. They have low HP and they don’t do much damage, but they body block Micena. You should capture them as soon as possible so you can keep damaging your actual target.
Summon Wolf Micena summons a large spectral wolf. This wolf attacks using the same patterns as other wolves you have fought before. It tends to leap into range and quickly attack twice. Parry and counter to take it down.
Summon Drake Micena summons a powerful dragon. This is Micena’s last summon, and it is her strongest. Despite this, he is no different from other dragons you have fought up to this point. It has a very predictable attack pattern, so parry and counter like before.

Micena’s mechanics

Micena has two main mechanics, the first and most obvious being her subpoena. Micena summons different minions based on her HP, so when she gets weaker, Your summoning will become stronger. This is important to note as they also gain increased defense stats. This makes them very difficult to kill. Micena can summon her even after death.

Her second mechanic connects to her fireball. Micena’s fire spell is incredibly powerful. It does great damage to your party and their summon when reflected. Reflecting those projectiles back into their minions will make this fight much easier. Not only that, but if the fire projectile hits Micena directly, She is immediately staggeredopens them up to a Rushdown Attack.

Which role models to take

Come back in with the goods, Zulfiqar excels in this fight. This is partly due to its incredible defense stats and powerful finishing blows. The real kicker, as always, is his link attack. This enables him Auto parry pretty much everything in the game. This is particularly effective against Micena as all of her projectiles are vulnerable to it.

Apart from this, We’ve had great success with Apollon and his Falcon Feign ability. This weakens Micena’s defenses and makes her easier to kill. We leaned more towards having ranged party members as they are less likely to be hit by a fireball when attacking.

battle strategy

Micena is quite resistant to HP and BP damage. Throw in their minions, who block most of the attacks, and you’ve got yourself a surprisingly resilient boss. The strategy here, then, is to take out her minions to clear a path and then attack her while she’s vulnerable.

Of course, that only gets you so far so get used to parrying their fireball. This attack will immediately stagger she, which increases your damage output, unleashes a Rushdown Attackand generally lets you burn through Micena’s HP without much effort. It took three rushdown attacks to kill Micena.
